Is Our Election Fair?

Is Our Election Fair?

Vote, Believe, and Change
One of the greatest thing in the world that human has is freedom of choice. In ancient time, we did call it as resolution. However, it had been changed and transformed in a new form called democracy. As a matter of facts, democracy is in our life. It does exist whenever and wherever you are, even in your deepest place in your heart, it still does exist. Election is one form of democracy. Where democracy means from us for us (Abraham Lincoln). From us the best choice, and the best effect for us. Nevertheless in student’s living, democracy does exist. Election for deciding who will be the new head of dorm committee is one of the real examples for democracy. It’s interesting to be analyzed; we did vote, we do believe and we’ll make changes, is that all fair as right as democracy concept? What do you think?
Our election has been done very well by Electoral commission consists of neutral students, fortunately. It’s good to hear that all students had been choosing and voting. They took their decisions directly, freely, privately, honestly, and impartially. Moreover, a nice fact caught is on how two days before election, three candidates were campaigning with a fair competition to gain trusts from students. It completed with a debate stage on the night of election, so the candidate could deliver their arguments and their solution about problems they’ll face later. Moreover, with a great pleasure, the candidates had promised in front of public, whoever chosen later, they will be still dedicating for betterment in dormitory living. Evidently, the voting count had been hold in front of public, with a full of transparency, in the same day with election. It proves that our election was really fair, completely justice stands up and student’s votes are delivered.
Well, in reality, we have to ask ourselves; who we voted, why we believe, and how we would make changes. That is democracy concept. Yes we had a fair election, but have we understood the risk of democracy? We cannot call it as democracy if we are not applying the value of democracy itself. We had been voting, we have to believe to the chosen candidate then. Moreover, we need to understand his or her ways. We have to make our voted person believe and confident, believe to create changes, change us to be better in all aspect as many as possible. We may to say, that’s perfectly fair. Fair is good enough, but a perfect fair is far better than anyone expected.

secuil kisah anak SMA
