“Does Homework Helpful
or Harmful”
Snacks or Snakes?
Snacks or Snakes?
In a student’s daily life, education has been becoming the
major to prepare a brighter future. A lot of subjects such as physics, biology,
economy, sociology or even mathematics are studied around 8 hours in total time
school. Fortunately, after a hard-day studying at school, when students feel so
tired, their jobs haven’t ended yet. Yes, homework is kind of “special snacks”
from beloved teachers toward students. As a result, a new problem created.
Students do not have enough time to do other activities like washing their
clothes or even entertaining themselves. Does this kind of homework really
harmful? Or even does it help much for studying?
Nowadays, teenagers (students) have
a lot of things to do every day. Organization, competition, or even dating are
the example. It’s so hard to manage time well in doing daily needs, both the
tasks and homework. Sometimes it create a bad impact toward student, they will
not consider about their health, they just keep focus on how they finish their
jobs over time till late. It doesn’t create a good education because the long
term effects are possible to blow student’s achievements down. That’s why
sometimes homework called as poison of snakes. Not a snack anymore, but it’ll
bite you sick because it’s snakes. Moreover, when student’s health is ignored,
it will be very difficult for the student to gain the maximum performance. As a
result, student will be questioning; why my teacher is always giving me a lot
of snakes, even they knew that’s snakes, but we are forced to pretend it as
snacks. Yes, we call it as poisonous snakes.
Sometimes good meaning and
objectives are difficult to be understood. We have to get pain before gaining
the goal, that’s called as law of living. In teacher’s side, teacher thinks
that homework is an aid to help students in absorbing the subject materials. Moreover,
this kind of “aid” shows that teacher is actually concerning about student’s
condition and difficulties. Otherwise, if the teachers don’t give students
homework, it’ll indicate that she or he is unqualified teacher. Worse, students
will not have encouragement to study because their teacher doesn’t care about
them and not gave them homework as well. In addition, there will be more
benefits gained, both students and teachers. One of the examples is on how it
will help students to increase their marks if they haven’t been reaching the
minimal standard of score or we called it as KKM in Indonesia. Meanwhile the
teachers will have a good communication toward student, so he or she can
explain the material clearly. As a result, students will be very happy because
they’re able to master the materials, and either teacher will be very proud
because they’ve been succeed in enhancing education quality for the next
generation.
Well, there will be no end for this
topic if we are always debating on it. However we have to see from the positive
sides, and also consider more about the impacts. Talk doubts less and do nobles
will be highly appreciated by our God, and of course the God will give His best
for us. Keep on spirit guys!
